Cognitive Medical Systems adds Mayo Clinic staff member to Board of Advisors

– Lesley King received HIMSS 2012 Outstanding Service Award, 2010 Founders Leadership Award – 

 

SAN DIEGO – April 21, 2014 – Cognitive Medical Systems, a specialist in standards-based clinical decision support software, added Lesley King, Vice Chair of Enterprise Revenue Cycle Systems for Mayo Clinic, to its Board of Advisors.

She holds more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience and received the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s Outstanding Service Award in 2012 and Founders Leadership Award in 2010.

“Lesley is an innovative leader with broad experience in clinical information systems and project management,” said Douglas W. In her current role, King supports the Revenue Cycle Systems for Mayo Clinic’s locations in Minnesota, Arizona and Florida. This requires that she and her team stay current on the impact that evolving health care regulations has on them. She is also an educator and advocate, serving as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Master’s Program in Healthcare Informatics. King is also a dedicated volunteer in the field of healthcare technology in the state of Arizona and at the national level.
