Cognitive Medical Systems Chief Scientist Claude Nanjo Named Among 2016 HL7 Volunteers of the Year

Cognitive Medical Systems, a specialist in standards-based clinical decision support software and healthcare IT infrastructure, announced today that Chief Scientist Claude Nanjo, MPH, has received the 20th annual W. Edward Hammond, PhD, Volunteer of the Year Award from Health Level 7 (HL7). Founded in 1987, HL7 is the global authority for healthcare information interoperability and standards.

Nanjo has been a member of HL7 since 2012. He has been an instrumental volunteer on several HL7 initiatives, including the Clinical Quality Framework (CQF) initiative and the Clinical Information Modeling Initiative (CIMI). In its award HL7 cited his skill at “connecting people and building bridges between different HL7 work groups to effectively solve challenges and move projects forward.”
