Cognitive Medical Systems CMIO Rocky Reston Named to Journal of Applied Clinical Informatics Editorial Board
Cognitive Medical Systems, a specialist in standards-based clinical decision support software and healthcare IT infrastructure, announced today that its Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Rocky Reston, MD, PhD, has joined the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Clinical Informatics (ACI) as Associate Editor.
Reston is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, board certified in clinical informatics and anesthesiology, with 30 years’ experience in healthcare, clinical informatics, and information systems infrastructure.
He received his doctorate in medicine from the Uniformed Services University’s F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. Reston also holds a PhD in Solid State Physics, Electromagnetics and Biosensors from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

ACI is the Official eJournal of the American Medical Informatics Society (AMIA) and the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and publishes approximately 100 peer-reviewed articles a year.
