Cognitive Medical Systems secures two additional DoD contracts in as many weeks

Subcontract work for U.S. Navy comes on heels of being award three contracts in September – 

SAN DIEGO – October 31, 2012 – Cognitive Medical Systems, a specialist in standards-based, clinical decision support software solutions for healthcare organizations, announced that it was awarded two additional Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) subcontracts in as many weeks.

These “contract vehicles” allow the company to compete for task order contracts with limited competition with other companies that are on the IDIQ.

The work comes on the heels of the company being awarded three other Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs contracts in September for other initiatives.

The two IDIQs are for the U.S. Navy, including Naval Sea Systems Command in support of prime contractor QuarterLine’s (www.quarterline.com) SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) Multiple Award Contract team and the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in support of prime contractor SPARC (www.sparcedge.com).
