Cognitive Medical Systems selects Julie Olson to lead company’s largest VA contract

Cognitive Medical Systems, experts in helping large public and private organizations make the most of their comprehensive healthcare IT investments, recently named Julie Olson to lead its largest US Department of Veterans Affairs contract.

She brings more than 15 years of comprehensive corporate and program management experience across vastly diverse organizations in the public sector.

Most notable among the organizations that Olson’s supported center in the Department of Defense’s (DoD) health arena – Defense Health Agency (DHA) and TRICARE – as well as the US Department of Interior (DOI), US Department of Treasury, US Department of Agriculture, and the US Department of Justice. Her recent portfolio included more than 20 contracts with over 200 personnel located throughout the country and valued at more than $50 million.

Before joining Cognitive Medical Systems, Olson served as the Director of Federal Civilian Business Unit at NetImpact Strategies, a woman-owned, business specializing in strategy and business transformation, IT modernization, data-driven Intelligence, cloud services, and cybersecurity. In that role, she led multi-year project support teams across the Federal Civilian and Financial Regulatory Business Units. Prior to that position, Olson worked for federal IT services provider Irving Burton Associates, Inc. (IBA), as Director of Operations, where she identified and pursued more than $200 million opportunities.
