Cognitive Medical Systems Wins GSA Schedule 70 Contract for IT Services

June 13, 2016

Cognitive Medical Systems, a specialist in standards-based clinical decision support software and healthcare IT infrastructure, announced today it has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 contract for IT services, making its products and services more widely available to federal agencies.

In federal health IT, mandates for interoperability, a growing emphasis on value-based care, and calls for personalized medicine are driving demand for Cognitive’s workflow-centric solutions for aggregating, normalizing, and deploying vast amounts of clinical data from disparate sources.

“With this contract, Cognitive is even better equipped to meet the clinical informatics needs of our federal customers,” said Cognitive Medical Systems President and Cofounder Douglas W. Burke. “The GSA schedule sets competitive pricing, which makes procurement faster and easier.”

GSA establishes long-term government-wide contracts (schedules) with commercial companies to provide access to millions of commercial products and services at volume discount pricing. IT Schedule 70 offers federal, state and local governments innovative solutions to their information technology needs.
