Former DefenseWeb Technologies head, Doug Burke, joins Cognitive Medical Systems as President
SAN DIEGO – May 3, 2011 – Cognitive Medical Systems, the emerging specialist in standard-based, advanced concept software solutions for healthcare organizations, announced today the hiring of former DefenseWeb Technologies CEO, Douglas W. Burke, as President.
Company Founder/CEO Mary Lacroix hired Burke to help build upon her vision to help firms meet the Nationwide Health Information Network’s interoperability requirements.

Founded a year ago, Cognitive Medical Systems provides a broad range of services and capabilities, including consulting, program administration, project management, software engineering, database design and business process reengineering. The company is also building extensive experience in healthcare interoperability, particularly in regards to clinical workflow, decision support and data modeling projects.
