Supporting Veteran Healthcare—for Those Who Served and Their Families

Serving Veterans, Service Members, and their families is at the core of Cognitive’s mission. Our Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) was founded to support Veteran healthcare and create greater accessibility to today’s and tomorrow’s Veterans by elevating the quality, speed, and delivery of U.S. government healthcare programs.

However, our commitment to honoring Veterans runs deeper than the services we deliver. It is woven into a recruitment approach that encourages hiring Veterans for IT jobs and is reflected across our national employee base. And it guides how we give back to our communities.

Cognitive gives Veterans new avenues to pursue their passion for service.

Each member of Cognitive’s executive team has a personal connection to the armed services and/or Veteran community, as do many of our employees. Through our dedication to the U.S. Department of Labor’s HIRE Vets program, Cognitive helps Veterans advance their civilian careers. By prioritizing and promoting hiring and retention of transitioning military and Veterans for IT jobs, we aim to set an example for other employers on the significance of supporting our nation’s heroes.

The tone for this commitment to Veterans is set by our CEO, retired Naval captain Dr. Emory Fry. Dr. Fry received numerous awards and accommodations during his 22-year Naval career, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He also gained through his work as a Navy physician a passion for developing systems that improve the overall quality of healthcare—a mission that is shared by our entire team.

Cognitive Cares: We’re on a Mission to Support Our Communities

Community is at the core of military service. As thanks for the brave individuals and military families that have made personal sacrifices in service to our country, we support Veteran healthcare by regularly donating to community not-for-profit organizations that give back to Veterans and military Service Members.
